[edit] broken links
just wanted to let know that tutorial/knowledgebase links to this site http://www.econym.demon.co.uk/googlemaps/ are unfortunately broken.
links should be from here now: http://econym.googlepages.com/index.htm
also:
A correction should be made on this page >> http://mapki.com/wiki/Icon_Image_Sets
Scroll down to : "IconFactory Creates dynamic icons by using a secret feature of the Google Chart API. There's a Wizard to help you choose the settings, and a Blog article with details and examples. " Here is the correct "Wizard" url >> http://gmaps-utility-library.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/mapiconmaker/1.0/examples/markericonoptions-wizard.html instead of : "http://gmaps-utility-library.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/iconfactory/release/examples/markericonoptions-wizard.html"

I have had a look at the http://mapki.com/wiki/Map_Projects:Cities page, and it is not easy to use. I have created an A:Z list and am happy to work through this page and move the links to the appropriate letter. Let me know if you are happy for me to go ahead with these kinds of edits (I have already put something in the L list) and I will work through them. --Panearth 2:23, 8 Oct 2007 (GMT)

[edit] Automatic Tile Cutter
I need help with this section: http://mapki.com/wiki/Automatic_Tile_Cutter#Updated_Script
I tried to edit the page with my updated script, but I'm not sure why the code is breaking out of the template. Sorry, I'm a wiki noob.
--Falcon 14:33, 25 October 2007 (PDT)***
I figured it out. Any lines without spaces were breaking the code format. If there was no space or a tab, it was breaking out. --Falcon 13:42, 29 October 2007 (PDT)
From FAQ page: >>>>>>>>
My Maps Placemark sorting Can I sort the Placemarks in My Maps?
No you can't.
You can either create a new My Maps map, and enter the Placemarks in the required order, of use the Google Maps API in conjunction with the EGeoXml extension, and specify {sortbyname:true}
>>>>>>>> Could some pro-coder cite a simple example as to how to do this? I have about 100+ markers and resorting them by hand would be painful. I, along with an few thousand other Google Maps users, would really like an easy to use tool to resort lists after they have been created. In my case, I'd like the option of sorting them by state, then by alpha within each state.
[edit] Automatice Tile Cutter
Crazy question....but how am i supposed to use the script to tile-cut my image for the googlemap api. I have seen C# and Java code through out but am wondering how it gets implemented. I plan on using this capability for a Wiki site and use it as an extension but most everything either uses HTML coding or application coding.
Basically, i am wondering if this solution to using Google maps api within a wiki is possible or practical to incorporate into a Wiki site.
for reference goto: http://woodassoc.us/wiki/index.php5?title=Category:Area and click on any of the maps references to see what is currently implemented. The MapLib control is external is being pulled into the wiki site but i want to have it all in oned into the wiki site and so therefore speeding up the loading time of the map pages.
[edit] RSS
>>> Google Maps API Changelog should be read via RSS, and I could'nt find this option
Now I'm using the History RSS to track page changes, but I still miss the RSS for the article
[edit] Official Google Maps API Blog
The Official Google Maps API Blog synopsis on the front page could now be replaced with the Google Geo Developers Blog.
