[edit] Dynamic Icons
These are icons that are created on the fly, usually in PHP using an imaging library.
- Shadows are created dynamically based on the icon's shape and scale. Almost any shape is possible.
- New interface and functionality! Create custom markers. Choose marker style, marker size, symbol sets, character sets, numbers, marker fill color, style color, and even a 3-D effect. All icons sets now include shadows. All users get access to first 10 icons in icon set. Subscription service for an annual fee of $19.95.
- Creates a marker of any colour. Enter the RGB values and hit GO.
- PHP script which uses the webhues package posted above to make colored, numbered markers on the fly
- Shadowmaker
- Create shadows for any bitmap image with transparency (png, gif)
- IconFactory Creates dynamic icons by using a secret feature of the Google Chart API. There's a Wizard to help you choose the settings, and a Blog article with details and examples.
